myozen blacker5467Melissa Myozen Blacker is a Zen priest with Boundless Way Zen, a Dharma heir of James Ishmael Ford. She attended Wesleyan University, earning her BA magna cum laude in Anthropology and Music in 1976. She went on to earn an MA in Counseling Psychology from Vermont College of Norwich University in 1991. Since 1993 she’s worked at the Center for Mindfulness, founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester. She is the associate director of the Stress Reduction Clinic, and a director of professional training and education programs at the Center. Melissa is married to David Dayan Rynick, a Dharma heir of Zen master George Bowman. I would like to thank Melissa for participating in this interview.
